Megan earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. While attending physical therapy school, Megan earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification from Smart Asana Yoga (formerly Inner Light Yoga Center) in central New Jersey. Megan has spent several years teaching yoga to individuals of all ages ranging from children, athletes, to active older adults.
Megan first gained interest in pelvic floor physical therapy after attending a few lectures on pelvic floor therapy by chance at a conference. She discovered that her skills as a physical therapist, principles as a yoga teacher, and love of helping others complemented each other so well in the treatment of the pelvic floor dysfunction. She was hooked on the road to specializing in pelvic health physical therapy.
Megan is currently pursuing additional coursework and training through the Herman-Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute, the American Physical Therapy Association, the Barrel Institute, and the Upledger Institute.
Megan is quite the global traveler and loves to try new foods and take cooking classes wherever she goes. Megan is a former collegiate swimmer and continues to swim in addition to practicing yoga and pilates, running, and taking bootcamp style classes. A true Jersey girl, Megan’s ideal day off is spent with a good book, family, and friends on her favorite beach, Asbury Park, New Jersey.
