Arántzazu “Zazu” Cioce

Certification in Pregnancy & Postpartum Physical Therapy (CAPP-OB)

Zazu earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. Zazu’s previous experience includes working at a women’s hospital in both orthopedic and pelvic health specialties. During this time, she discovered her love of helping mothers and families improve their pregnancy and postpartum experience utilizing education, movement and hands-on techniques.

Zazu received her Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy/Postpartum Physical Therapy (CAPP-OB) from the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and was the first practitioner to earn this qualification in the state of New Mexico. Zazu has also been a guest lecturer at the University of New Mexico’s DPT program, teaching on “High Risk Pregnancy and the Role of the Physical Therapist.” She has also received additional training through the Integrative Women’s Health Institute and the Institute for Birth Healing.

Zazu’s passion for helping mothers during and after their pregnancy naturally led her to pursue further specialization within the broader pelvic floor dysfunction arena. She is currently pursuing additional coursework through the American Physical Therapy Association, the Pelvic Guru Academy and Dr. Susie Gronski.

Zazu is a Florida native, but moved to New Mexico shortly after graduating from DPT school. She recently relocated back to the east coast with her husband to spend more time with family. Zazu loves to play in the kitchen and is very excited to explore the food scene here in the tri-state area. She thoroughly enjoys being physically active and adventuring in nature with her husband and rescue pup, Gracie.
